Jason Jones ICF-MN fills my bucket!! I look forward to the in person meetings to connect with my tribe of coaches and enjoy the way of being only coaches embody. It energizes me. https://s3.amazonaws.com/ClubExpressClubFiles/907122/graphics/Jason_Jones_1992631113.jpg
Bev Lutz ICF membership provides incredible professional networking opportunities, professional and personal growth, and opportunities to explore my strengths as I volunteer in service of my profession.  My chapter really helps me stay current with coaching, thought leadership, and learn-n-earn (CEU’s) from professional development events.  But it’s the supportive coach-friends and collaborators who have made membership for me priceless. //s3.amazonaws.com/ClubExpressClubFiles/907122/graphics/BevLutz1_669008720.jpg

Irene Kelly

Being a member of ICF offers me the opportunity for certification by the industry professional standard bearer; being a member of ICF Minnesota connects me to my professional peers for networking and collaboration.  Membership in both establishes me as “credible” and provides me opportunities to learn and grow.

Framed Father image
In Honor of Father's Day...Missing my Dad

I just glanced at a photo of my father, realizing how much I still miss him after almost 2 years.

When I think of my dad, I now realize he was a natural coach. He listened far more than he talked. He asked questions all the time. What motivated me? What books did I love to read? What was I dreaming of becoming? What did I want to do in my life? What music, trends, people, and topics interested me? What did I enjoy?

He was a naturally quiet man, very attentive and engaged. Dad was positive, upbeat, excited about the future and being in relationships with family, close friends, and colleagues. He made you feel like you could achieve anything.

My dad wasn’t an official or typical coach. He grew up on a rural family cotton farm in West Texas. He went to high school through the 11th grade since 12th grade didn’t exist. He was inspired to think about medicine, because of a book his aunt gave him in high school. Very few people from the community even went to college. He was a great believer in learning, teaching, research and development and had the gift of making very complicated information simple and unintimidating.

How can we listen so intently, hold silence, ask deep questions, and build strong, trusting coaching relationships, such that they will be remembered years afterward?

From ICF Global -
Important Changes to ICF Credentialing Coming This Summer

ICF Credential-holders represent excellence in professional coaching. ICF Global continually strive to advance its credentialing process, ensuring it meets the highest standards in professional certification practice, supports ICF Credential-holders, and offers an important quality assurance for coaching clients and consumers.

As part of this commitment, ICF Credentials and Standards is pleased to announce several updates to its Credentialing process. These changes include:

  • Updated application paths integrating the updated ICF Accreditation structure
  • Updated Performance Evaluation criteria and guidance developed in alignment with the updated ICF Core Competencies
  • A new ICF Credentialing Exam designed to assess candidates’ knowledge and skill in the updated ICF Core Competencies

These changes will be implemented simultaneously to ensure a smooth transition for ICF Credential candidates. July 27, 2022 will be the final deadline to submit ICF Credential applications under the current application paths and assessments (Coach Knowledge Assessment Exam and Performance Evaluation standards for ACC, PCC and MCC). On August 1, 2022 ICF will resume accepting applications for ACC, PCC and MCC Credentials using the UPDATED application paths. For example, candidates who submit a credential application on or after August 1st will be required to successfully complete the new ICF Credentialing Exam at a secure testing facility. There are other changes to be aware of. You can find a helpful informational video about these changes, along with specific instructions related to obtaining each Credential here: https://coachingfederation.org/credentials-and-standards/elevating-credential-process

Theresa ad June 2022

Group coaching is a vital tool for coaches, leaders, visionaries, and practitioners. National movement toward group coaching has been a growing trend in recent years. Group coaching allows us to reach more people for three reasons: reduced participation costs, an instant community of support around a common experience, and decreased delivery time as a coach. Translating coaching skills to hold space for multiple people while navigating the many moving parts requires skill and practice. This series offers both and will prepare you to design, market, and deliver your group coaching offering.
