Jason Jones ICF-MN fills my bucket!! I look forward to the in person meetings to connect with my tribe of coaches and enjoy the way of being only coaches embody. It energizes me. https://s3.amazonaws.com/ClubExpressClubFiles/907122/graphics/Jason_Jones_1992631113.jpg
Bev Lutz ICF membership provides incredible professional networking opportunities, professional and personal growth, and opportunities to explore my strengths as I volunteer in service of my profession.  My chapter really helps me stay current with coaching, thought leadership, and learn-n-earn (CEU’s) from professional development events.  But it’s the supportive coach-friends and collaborators who have made membership for me priceless. //s3.amazonaws.com/ClubExpressClubFiles/907122/graphics/BevLutz1_669008720.jpg

Irene Kelly

Being a member of ICF offers me the opportunity for certification by the industry professional standard bearer; being a member of ICF Minnesota connects me to my professional peers for networking and collaboration.  Membership in both establishes me as “credible” and provides me opportunities to learn and grow.

Mary Kay Delvo

Movement

Movement – what feelings, images and thoughts does word movement evoke for you?

I’m not good at sitting still. I usually love movement – my own or watching the sublime movement of a lithe dancer, a skilled gymnast, a smooth runner or perfect skater. I’m none of these creatures. Seeing movement in a gorgeous ballet, a bird swooping deep in the sky, or a little toddler wobbling brings me joy.

Somehow, my own movement has slowed over the past year. Perhaps it’s due to the pandemic, my fear of indoor gyms, relocation to a new side of town and the need to build new habits and routines. I would rarely describe myself as sedentary; however, that became an apt description. I needed to move more and with greater frequency. I started scheduling my workouts and mixing them up so I wouldn’t get bored. I put them on my calendar at the beginning of my day and laid out my exercise clothes the night before. I checked the forecast to see how the weather would cooperate.

Besides physical movement, what about our mental movement? What do you want to learn and become more competent in this year? How can you stay fresh mentally and move in community with others? What opportunities are in front of us and what are those that we may need to seek out? What movement can we evoke in our clients and in our communities to improve the physical and mental well-being of others?

Please see what moves you in our 2022 programming. Click here for the events page.
We look forward to seeing you in action at our speaker events, Coaching Connection gatherings and webinars! Let us know if you’re moved to volunteer for one of our teams led by our board co-chairs. Let’s move it!

2022 Diversity and Inclusion Book Club

All are welcome to our Diversity and Inclusion Book Club. The book club will meet virtually from January through June on the second Tuesday of each month, from 6:00-8:00 PM. We will be reading "My Grandmother's Hands" by Resmaa Menakem.

Sensitive and probing, this book from therapist Menakem delves into the complex effects of racism and white privilege. Departing from standard academic approaches, he speaks from the wisdom of his grandmother and his own expertise in somatic therapy, a field that emphasizes the mind-body connection." - Publisher's Weekly

The facilitation will be done by a different participant from the group each month.

BIPOC Safe Space Session

ICF MN is doing its part to deal with issues related to indifferences associated with equity and inclusion. One way we are working toward a better tomorrow is by hosting a Safe Space for BIPOC (Black Indigenous People of Color) Coaches. It is a place where BIPOC coaches can network, share stories, trade insights, and be able to be seen and heard.  The group typically meets (normally) from 12:00-1:00 PM on the 4th Friday of each month through March 2022. We invite you to our next session! Friday, January 28th, 12:00-1:00 PM via Zoom Topic:   DIBs (Diversity, Inclusion, Belonging) Index
