Jason Jones ICF-MN fills my bucket!! I look forward to the in person meetings to connect with my tribe of coaches and enjoy the way of being only coaches embody. It energizes me. https://s3.amazonaws.com/ClubExpressClubFiles/907122/graphics/Jason_Jones_1992631113.jpg
Bev Lutz ICF membership provides incredible professional networking opportunities, professional and personal growth, and opportunities to explore my strengths as I volunteer in service of my profession.  My chapter really helps me stay current with coaching, thought leadership, and learn-n-earn (CEU’s) from professional development events.  But it’s the supportive coach-friends and collaborators who have made membership for me priceless. //s3.amazonaws.com/ClubExpressClubFiles/907122/graphics/BevLutz1_669008720.jpg

Irene Kelly

Being a member of ICF offers me the opportunity for certification by the industry professional standard bearer; being a member of ICF Minnesota connects me to my professional peers for networking and collaboration.  Membership in both establishes me as “credible” and provides me opportunities to learn and grow.

(Re) Discovering Joy

A few weeks ago, I got this wild idea to croquet a bookmark for my niece. She was celebrating a milestone and it seemed like a gift that would serve to remind her of the event. My thought process went something like this, “I croqueted in high school so this should be a piece of cake.” It didn’t take long to learn high school was further away than I remembered! Yet I continued to pursue my goal. I hunted down my stash of croquet hooks, bought some yarn, and searched Google for a pattern. I found a pattern and a video. Thank you, Google! It took a few attempts complete the bookmark, and once I completed it, I felt amazing. I could still create and enjoy myself while doing it. I rediscovered a long-forgotten joy.

Coaches support clients as they discover pieces of themselves, which either were not remembered or recognized. What an honor it is for a coach to facilitate having this experience!

·      What activities did you enjoy when you were younger?

·      How might you re-discover some of those passions?

·      What joys and discoveries might your clients not remember or recognize?

·      What can you do to support their journey?

Meet the Coach

Meet Steve Ryan

1. What brought you to coaching?
I retired from being in the manufacturing business, sales, and marketing after about 30 years. I was looking for my next thing and I realized I found the most joy in mentoring, teaching, and instructing. I found out about coaching as a career about 4 years ago and never looked back.

2. Tell us about your coaching practice. (Niche, ideal client, etc.)
I am the District Life and Executive Coach for the Northfield School District. I work with students ages 14-18 academically (what blocks them from not doing as well in English as opposed to math) growing up/life skills, executive function skills, and prioritizing. I also provide life coaching for the staff, which is about 600 people. The position mainly started because of Covid, when the district wanted another layer of help for the students and staff. read more...

BIPOC Safe Space Session

ICF MN is doing its part as an organization to deal with issues that relate to indifferences that deal directly with equity and inclusion. One way we are working toward a better tomorrow is by creating a Safe Space for BIPOC (Black Indigenous People of Color) Coaches.

The group meets from12:00-1:00 PM on the 4th Friday of each month through December. It is a place where BIPOC coaches can network, share stories, trade insights, and be able to be seen and heard.
We invite you to our next session!

Our discussion will be on:
