We are so fortunate to be part of a collaborative and caring coaching community. As ICF Minnesota President, I have seen the deep concern and support from members to help other coaches lead better lives, be their full selves, and experience a stronger sense of belonging. I have watched partnerships emerge and mutual support occur across coaching organizations, making our coaching community stronger through the power of working together.
- Mary Zahorsky, Professional Development Co-chair, identified great speakers from around the world and created wonderful programing behind the scenes.
- Mary Stieber Reynhout, Communications Co-chair, was instrumental in our communication strategy, positioning, and written communications.
- Kathy Lester and Tim Bot, Membership Co-chairs, started our membership ambassador program, welcoming and on boarding new members.
- Cheryl Hegland, Past President, has been an amazing resource for me over the past 4 years overseeing our fiscal and operational health and spurring us on as we created a new strategic plan.
We welcome a wonderful and energetic group of new 2023 Board members:
- Loretta Diez, Secretary
- Alexa Crawford-Packett, Treasurer
- Seetha Karuppiah, Professional Development Co-chair
- Jim Willenbring, Membership Co-chair
- Peter Piche, Communications Co-chair
Also in 2023, we have a dedicated Board serving the 2nd year of their term or more. Their new roles are:
- Jenn Espinosa-Goswami, Communications Co-chair
- Marnie Hausauer, Membership Co-chair
- Claire Giancola-Belmares, Professional Development Co-chair
- Lisa Wocken, Professional Development Co-chair
- Deb Enloe, Professional Development Co-chair / DEIJB
- Carol Chamberlain, Outreach Co-chair
- Steve Ryan, Outreach Co-chair
- Holly O’Hanlon, President-Elect
- Victor Thompson, DEIJB Co-Chair
- Nirav Sheth, Strategic Marketing
- Karen Failes-Coad, President
I am excited to welcome Karen Failes-Coad into her new role as President of ICF Minnesota. Karen and the Board are enthusiastic about our chapter’s strategic opportunities, including pro bono coaching and greater membership involvement in our ambassador program. We intend to live out our Vision of coaching being a “sought-after catalyst for growth in our multicultural community” and our Mission focused on the ongoing “development of a community of multicultural coaches serving others.” The Values of our Board emphasize Service, Connection, Growth, and Inclusion. If these values resonate with you and you would like to contribute to this work, we would love to discuss committee opportunities with you. If you are interested in learning more about Board leadership, please contact me at President@ICFMinnesota.org before January 1.
