Jason Jones ICF-MN fills my bucket!! I look forward to the in person meetings to connect with my tribe of coaches and enjoy the way of being only coaches embody. It energizes me. https://s3.amazonaws.com/ClubExpressClubFiles/907122/graphics/Jason_Jones_1992631113.jpg
Bev Lutz ICF membership provides incredible professional networking opportunities, professional and personal growth, and opportunities to explore my strengths as I volunteer in service of my profession.  My chapter really helps me stay current with coaching, thought leadership, and learn-n-earn (CEU’s) from professional development events.  But it’s the supportive coach-friends and collaborators who have made membership for me priceless. //s3.amazonaws.com/ClubExpressClubFiles/907122/graphics/BevLutz1_669008720.jpg

Irene Kelly

Being a member of ICF offers me the opportunity for certification by the industry professional standard bearer; being a member of ICF Minnesota connects me to my professional peers for networking and collaboration.  Membership in both establishes me as “credible” and provides me opportunities to learn and grow.

Mary Kay Delvo

Moments of Gratitude

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and by the time you read this it will be December. This time of year often leads people to reflect on the last year. Imagine looking in a mirror that represents the past year, what do you see? I see wins and losses, lessons learned, emotions shared, opportunities, gifts, and many other things. Overwhelmingly though, I see the faces of family, friends, colleagues, and other advocates smiling back at me. It is humbling and fills my heart with gratitude and happiness.

As I consider this gratitude, I would like to thank everyone who was a part of the 2020 ICF MN Board. It was an honor to be part of a group so dedicated to Service, Connection, Growth, and Inclusion. We have had so many rich discussions. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to know each of you. I thank you for the gifts you have shared with me, your fellow Board members, and the chapter. I also want to thank each ICF member for the honor of serving each and every one of you. It has been a privilege.

I invite you to take some time to consider gratitude:

- How has it come up in your life? In the lives of your clients?

- What does it feel like?

- What action does it guide you toward?

- How might you share it with others?

I hope you take the time to reflect on what fills you with gratitude during this holiday season.

When it comes to leadership development, few methods are as powerful and effective as coaching. Calculating the ROI on coaching is a unique and important conversation. A quick Google search will report that the return on coaching is 7 to 1200 times the investment. As coaches, we are interested in the facts. Those facts include knowing the process by which ROI is measured and becoming knowledgeable about the stakeholders who care about data, coaching investments, and results.

2022 Diversity and Inclusion Book Club

Good News! We are going to continue our Diversity and Inclusion Book Club. The book club will meet virtually from January through June on the second Tuesday of each month, from 6:00-8:00 PM. The book we will be reading is "My Grandmother's Hands" by Resmaa Menakem.

Sensitive and probing, this book from therapist Menakem delves into the complex effects of racism and white privilege. Departing from standard academic approaches, he speaks from the wisdom of his grandmother and his own expertise in somatic therapy, a field that emphasizes the mind-body connection." - Publisher's Weekly

BIPOC Safe Space Session

ICF MN is doing its part to deal with issues related to indifferences associated with equity and inclusion. One way we are working toward a better tomorrow is by hosting a Safe Space for BIPOC (Black Indigenous People of Color) Coaches. It is a place where BIPOC coaches can network, share stories, trade insights, and be able to be seen and heard.  The group meets (normally) from 12:00-1:00 PM on the 4th Friday of each month through March 2022. However, for December, we will meet on Thursday, Dec 23rd. We invite you to our next session! Thursday, December 23rd, 12:00-1:00 PM via Zoom Topic: Coping, Preventing and Overcoming Micro Aggression
