Jason Jones ICF-MN fills my bucket!! I look forward to the in person meetings to connect with my tribe of coaches and enjoy the way of being only coaches embody. It energizes me. https://s3.amazonaws.com/ClubExpressClubFiles/907122/graphics/Jason_Jones_1992631113.jpg
Bev Lutz ICF membership provides incredible professional networking opportunities, professional and personal growth, and opportunities to explore my strengths as I volunteer in service of my profession.  My chapter really helps me stay current with coaching, thought leadership, and learn-n-earn (CEU’s) from professional development events.  But it’s the supportive coach-friends and collaborators who have made membership for me priceless. //s3.amazonaws.com/ClubExpressClubFiles/907122/graphics/BevLutz1_669008720.jpg

Irene Kelly

Being a member of ICF offers me the opportunity for certification by the industry professional standard bearer; being a member of ICF Minnesota connects me to my professional peers for networking and collaboration.  Membership in both establishes me as “credible” and provides me opportunities to learn and grow.

Daisy and Ant pic

Perspectives

The first warm(er) day after our long cold spell we discovered sugar ants in our kitchen. Of course, we were puzzled and unhappy. Why now? It’s certainly not thawing yet and we had been ‘ant-free’ for so many years. Later that day, I told a friend who exclaimed, “That’s great! Spring is on the way!” Her comment stopped me in my tracks and caused me to take another look at the situation. Several thoughts came to mind.
First, our cats had been fascinated. I had noticed them sitting, staring at the floor and then rolling all over it. Initially, I could not figure out their unusual behavior, so I watched in amusement and wonder.
Second, we had constantly dealt with similar ants while we were on our vacation. If there was so much as a single spill of any food, they were instantly on top of it. Sometimes you could see them marching down the wall toward their goal. It reminded me of the lovely weather, location, and time spent with friends.
Finally, I realized my friend was right. Spring is on the way! Reflecting on all these different perspectives brightened my day considerably. May you have a day filled with different perspectives which brings you joy.

New Diversity and Inclusion Book Club Session

Good News! We are going to continue our Diversity and Inclusion book club. The book club will be meeting on the second Tuesday of the month from 6:00-8:00 PM from March through August. If we have enough participants, we will send out a Doodle Poll for the best additional day/time to add a new group. The book we will be reading is “Caste, The Origins of Our Descent”, by Isabel Wilkerson.
“Magnificent, a trailblazing work on the birth of inequality . . . Caste offers a forward-facing vision. Bursting with insight and love, this book may well help save us.”—O: The Oprah Magazine https://www.amazon.com/Caste-Origins-Discontents-Isabel-Wilkerson/dp/0593230256
The facilitation will be done by a different participant from the group each month.
Please respond to Deb Johnson  PastPresident@icfminnesota.org if interested.

Meet the Coach
Meet the Coach Video - Ann

Meet Ann Houser

1. What brought you to coaching?
My Medtronic colleagues, who received coach training, were thrilled with the content and the impact on their own lives and clients’. I asked for the training and loved it!

2. Tell us about your coaching practice. (Niche, ideal client, etc.)
I’m an executive coach who works well with leaders interested in significantly enhancing their leadership capabilities. Some clients have recently been promoted to a C-suite or senior leadership role and want to intentionally step into the new role. Many clients seek to develop, grow and serve their team and lead strategically in the organization.

3. What do you love about your coaching work?
I love when clients describe a new behavior they’ve successfully mastered and when they receive positive feedback in support of who they want to be as a leader.

4. Tell us about the coaching tools, books, podcasts, etc. that you follow that helps you to stay informed.
I love the book The Prosperous Coach by Steve Chandler and Rich Litvin. I’m also a huge fan of Shirzad Chamine’s Positive Intelligence.

5. How has ICF-MN helped you as a coach?
I appreciated the warm welcome I received from ICF Minnesota members, who are a rich source for connection, collaboration and questions in support of one another, ultimately serving our clients and the area. I appreciate the education opportunities and Mastermind group.

6. How can folks connect with you?
